  1. Age Verification:We employ a neutral age gate prior to allowing users to access the book creation and photo upload features. Only users who confirm they are 18 years of age or older may proceed to use our personalization tools.
  2. Collection of Information:For the purposes of customizing the storybooks, we collect the child’s first name, age, and a facial photograph. This information is submitted strictly by the adult user (parent or guardian).
  3. Verifiable Parental Consent (VPC):Before any photograph or personal data of a child is uploaded and processed, we mandate a Verifiable Parental Consent mechanism. The parent or guardian must explicitly confirm their legal relationship to the child and consent to our data processing terms.
  4. Data Handling, Storage, and Sharing:
    • Purpose: We use the photo for the sole purpose of creating the AI-generated illustrations for your personalized book.
    • Storage: The photo is temporarily stored in our secure, encrypted system during the book's production and shipping period.
    • Retention: We retain the photo for 30 days after your book has been delivered. This is only in case the book is lost or damaged in transit and a reprint is needed.
    • Deletion: After this 30-day period, the photo and any AI-generated models are permanently and irrevocably deleted from our systems.
    • Sharing: We never sell, share, or use your child's photo for any other purpose, including marketing or AI training.
  5. Parental Rights:Parents have the right to review the personal information we have collected from their child, request that we delete it, and refuse to permit further collection or use of the child's information.
